Language Arts - None - We completed our DOL and grammar page in class today. Students also practiced analogies using their spelling words today. (
Example: hot is to cold as wet is to dry). We read our weekly story, called
My Very Own Room. For the next two weeks, we will practice making predictions as we read. In small groups today, Mrs. Pratt's groups read a story about airplanes. My groups practiced doing fluency self-assessments using Photo Booth on the laptops.
Math - None - We completed lesson 2.5 today on making bar graphs. The students did a great job on today's lesson!
Science - None - We read about vertebrates today and took notes in our journals. We learned that there are 5 main categories of vertebrates: mammals, reptiles, amphibians, fish, and birds.
Social Studies - None - We took the unit 1 open book test today.
Reminder: reading logs due tomorrow
